Six Flags is bringing back the beloved event, Holiday In The Park which was cancelled last year, to Six Flags Great Adventure, and Six Flags Over Georgia in a brand new way .

Six Flags is bringing back Holiday In The Park to two parks that had the event removed for the 2025 season. Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey and Six Flags Over Georgia in Austell, Georgia.
The removal of the fan favorite event for the 2025 season was a big loss for park goers, after the Six Flags and Cedar Fair company merger officially started. Many parks across the new portfolio experienced lots of changes, including the closure of Six Flags America in Bowie, Maryland, and many ride removals at various parks across the new chain.
Six Flags since then, has hired a new CEO, John Riley, to steady the ship for the company and Holiday In The Park returning is a welcome sight for fans of Six Flags.
We heard our guests loud and clear,” John Reilly, president and CEO of Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, said in a statement to USA today. “Holiday in the Park has long been a cornerstone event at these properties, and we’ve taken everything we’ve learned to thoughtfully evolve the experience.”
Holiday events were removed at three parks last year and this announcement brings back the event to two of them. There has been no announcement yet on the return of the winter event “Winterfest” to Kings Dominion, which lost the event last year.
Details on how the event will shape up are to come in the future.
